The founder of the “Time Machine” group, Yuri Borzov, died at the age of 70, the band’s frontman Andrei Makarevich (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) reported on Facebook (belongs to the extremist and banned Meta group recognized in the Russian Federation).
“Yuri Ivanovich Borzov left us for a better world. Fifty-six years ago, in the ninth grade, he and I came up with the “Time Machine”, he became our first drummer. Yura was a very beautiful person – in every way. And no matter what he did – he drew, built, told stories – he did it exceptionally beautifully,” wrote Mr. Makarevich. In conversation with “RIA News” the musician clarified that Yuri Borzov had oncology.
Yuri Borzov was born on June 15, 1953. It was he who proposed the name Time Machines or “Time Machines” in 1969. Mr. Borzov participated in the recording of the group’s first album, also called Time Machines. In 1972, he left the musical group. In addition to his musical career, Yuri Borzov was also engaged in artistic creativity. In 1988 he received a prize at the international competition “Image of the Bridge of the Future” in Japan.
