Cider sales in Russia increased by 17.5% over nine months

In particular, sales of cognac increased (by 10.5% to 9.7 million decaliters) and liqueurs (by 24.6% to 9.9 million decaliters). At the same time, the popularity of vodka among Russians decreased by 0.3% to 55.6 million decaliters.

At the beginning of October, Vedomosti with reference to EGAIS data wrotethat the production of beer and beer drinks in Russia at the end of nine months of 2023 decreased by 1.45% (to 625.6 million decaliters) compared to the same period last year. The output of beer decreased by 1% (to 549.7 million decaliters), and beer drinks – by 4.6% (to 75.9 million decaliters). A representative of Rosalkogoltabakcontrol then explained that this trend is associated with overproduction of products in 2022. Market participants cited the introduction of mandatory labeling and a register of brewers as one of the reasons.
