After failures in Riga, Khamatova toured the United States, speaking to emigrants, and also lived for some time in Georgia. Now she is making a second attempt to settle in Riga. On November 14, in the Small Hall of the New Riga Theater, the premiere of the play by Alvis Hermanis “Country of the Deaf” with her participation is scheduled. It is expected that Khamatova’s knowledge of the Latvian language should suffice in this role.
