Chernogolovka completed the purchase of the Russian business of Pringles chips manufacturer

A Chernogolovka Group company, Aqualife Resource, has acquired a 100% stake in the Russian business of Pringles chips manufacturer Kellogg Rus. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of Chernogolovka.

The press service noted that the company received all the necessary permissions for the deal from the regulators. They clarified that in the near future Kellogg Rus LLC will be renamed into Lyubyatovo LLC. Other details of the transaction, in particular its cost, are not specified.

From the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, it follows that the transaction was closed on July 13. The Voronezh plant Kellogg moved to Chernogolovka.

Chernogolovka noted that Lyubyatovo will continue to produce breakfast cereals and cookies. The brand also owns the trademarks Extra, Dinosaurs, Unicorn and Choco Zavr.

Kellogg came to Russia in 2008. It owns three factories in Voronezh, Pskov and Vyazma, where they manufacture products under the Lyubyatovo brand. The state employs 1780 people. At the end of 2021, the revenue of Kellogg Rus LLC increased by 9.8% to RUB 13.96 billion, while net profit increased 1.7 times to RUB 888.39 million.

Against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, Kellogg suspended investments in Russian business and the supply of its products to the country. December 22 last year became knownthat the company wants to sell the Russian business to the Chernogolovka group of companies. Experts estimated the value of Kellogg’s business in Russia at 6–7 billion rubles. In February 2023 “Aqualife resource” filed to the Federal Antimonopoly Service a petition for prior consent to acquire Kellogg’s Russian assets.
