The comedy “Cheburashka” directed by Dmitry Dyachenko became the highest-grossing Russian film in the history of domestic distribution. According to the Unified Federal Automated Information System for Information on Film Screenings in Cinema Halls (UAIS), Cheburashka has earned 3,082,245,827 rubles since the start of distribution in Russia (January 1, 2023). The film has overtaken Klim Shipenko’s “Kholop” by Klim Shipenko in terms of box office – its total box office totaled 3,082,031,790 rubles.
“We are very pleased that “Cheburashka” and all the films of the New Year’s release allowed cinemas to earn money, and the viewer to believe in the repertoire and enjoy going to cinemas.
