The Start Ads advertising department of the Russian video service Start has signed a contract with the Soyuzmultfilm film studio on the right to use the heroes of the animated series Nu, Pogodi! in advertising. This was reported to TASS in the press service of Start. The agreement was signed at the Brand Day business conference in Moscow.
Yuliana Slashcheva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soyuzmultfilm, explained that, according to the study, 57% of the licensed market is made up of animated characters. According to her, popular cartoon characters contribute to the promotion of goods. Mrs. Slashcheva believes that “Well, wait a minute!” combines tradition and modernity.
In December last year, Soyuzmultfilm released a reboot of the Soviet cartoon – “Well, you wait! Vacation”. Alexey Bokov, CEO of the Start Ads advertising division, called the cult heroes “Well, you wait!” and stated that using them in advertising is an interesting task.
