“Capucine is like me, without a filter! »

You may not know his name, but his face is bound to be familiar to you. Barbara Bolotner began at the theater before being revealed at the cinema in Gosh !. will follow Malvita, Little Nicolas Holidays Where The Crazy Story of Max and Leon. She has also distinguished herself on the small screen in various short programs: Scenes of households on M6, The delights of the crib on 6ter (she was irresistible there as a baby!) or even amuse you, amuse me on Arte in which she squarely embodied the Mona Lisa!

TV MAGAZINE. – What attracted you to this project?

Barbara BOLOTNER. – Capucine is funny, exuberant, unfiltered and above all touching. It’s a facet of the character that we wanted to highlight. And for the first time, I had a lead role. I find Capucine close to today’s thirtysomething city dwellers, marked by ecology, feminism, and close to me. I quickly identified with the character. We have in common that we are sometimes a little clumsy, off the mark but with great sensitivity and a good background! Like her, I also spend a lot of time on the phone talking about my life, I’m quite addicted. It was nice to use your own personality to bring a character to life. It’s a bit of a tailor-made project…

How did you prepare?

We created a “pimped” look, we worked on the colors, the jewelry… She’s not a loser. She’s still close to getting there. We had a lot of preparation to put the texts in our mouths because there were still ten different authors. I allowed myself a lot of improv, it’s a great freedom. I learned no less than 370 pages! We had 15 days of filming for the 90 episodes. And I find that it almost feels like each episode is the start of a different feature film.

What did the conservatory teach you in terms of comedy?

High technicality and great adaptability. I understand very quickly the aesthetic cogs, the project. I am focused and attentive. A bit of a Swiss army knife! They offer me, it’s true, a lot of comedies. I always try to make my character endearing. But I don’t feel like I’m doing comedies, I’m just acting. I’m quite naturally optimistic, happy in life, and then I have a cheerful face…
