[ad_1]
For the first time in its history, the Salzburg Festival turned to the Greek Passions, the last opera of Bohuslav Martin (1890–1959). The director was the 38-year-old Australian Simon Stone, who, after his Salzburg productions of Lear by Aribert Reimann (2017) and Medea by Luigi Cherubini (2019), is a favorite of the festival audience, and the musical director is the 37-year-old Frenchman Maxime Pascal. Sergei Khodnev watched the performance in an adult way on the stage of the Rocky Arena.
