BuzzFeed shares soar 285% on news of OpenAI technology

Shares of BuzzFeed, a media news company, began trading on the NASDAQ stock market after announcing plans to use artificial intelligence to write content for the site. From January 26, when this announcement was made, to the middle of the trading day on January 27, BuzzFeed shares are up 285%.
Plans to use AI in the work of BuzzFeed were announced by CEO John Peretti in an internal letter to employees from next month. According to him, which leads edition The Verge, it is planned to use AI developed by OpenAI. Mr. Peretti stressed that BuzzFeed will not use AI to write news stories.
