Business proposed to decriminalize ten economic articles in the Criminal Code

The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) has prepared a set of measures to reduce criminal and administrative pressure on business. The proposals were formed following the results of the forum “Protection of business from criminal and administrative pressure: status and tasks” (Vedomosti has a resolution with initiatives). According to the vice-president of the RSPP, Alexander Varvarin, the package of measures has been sent to the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Duma, and other business associations. The topic of criminal law pressure is planned to be discussed at the congress of members of the RSPP on March 16, where the president is expected to attend, Varvarin added. Vladimir Putin can attend the event on the first day of its work and talk separately with the bureau of the board of the RSPP, Vedomosti wrote on February 14.
