“Brother 3” received a distribution certificate from the Ministry of Culture of Russia – Kommersant

The Russian Ministry of Culture has issued a distribution certificate for Valery Pereverzev’s film “Brother 3,” as follows from the information on website departments. The picture is not related to the duology of Alexei Balabanov; the authors explained the title as a “highly artistic provocation.”

According to the register published on the website of the Ministry of Culture, the registration date for the rental certificate for “Brother 3” is December 20. The film is rated 18+. The duration of the film indicated in the registry is 57 minutes, and the start date of the film is January 17, 2024.

Mr. Pereverzev clarified to RIA Novosti that the issuance of a rental certificate for “Brother 3” was announced today, December 25, because before that the process of registering the register was underway. He added that plans are now underway for a premiere screening in cinemas. “There is no information yet, where, in which cinema, in which city. Moscow, most likely… I want to show where they love me and where they support me,” said the director.

November 17, the day before the film’s scheduled premiere, became knownthat the Ministry of Culture did not issue a distribution certificate for the film. The director of the HHG film company, which produces and promotes Brother 3, Vladislav Pasternak, stated that the department’s claims are subjective and have no relation to the law. He did not specify what they were. According to him, the Ministry of Justice previously discovered obscenities in the film, and the authors removed it.

How told The authors of the film are Valery Pereverzev and his wife Yulia, the film tells “about the fate of loser robbers, the general’s daughter with her love for a street artist and the harsh everyday life of one criminal group.” According to them, the film combines several film stories united by one story.
