Brooke Shields opens up about explicit scenes in Blue Lagoon when she was 14

Hollywood actress Brooke Shields told on the Now What podcast, as at the age of 14 she starred in explicit scenes of the famous film “The Blue Lagoon”, released 42 years ago.
Together with Shields, the actress’s partner in the film, Christopher Atkins, also shared his memories – he was 18 years old at the time of filming the picture.
According to Shields, she was dressed in barely covering underwear, and her hair was glued to her chest. The actress stressed that in some scenes her place was taken by an understudy.
As Christopher Atkins said, at the end of the filming of The Blue Lagoon, it was quite difficult for him to wear clothes.
Brooke Shields noted that the filmmakers wanted real “love chemistry” on screen – for the actors to fall in love with each other. However, the actress notes, at the age of 14 she did not really understand this request, because she did not even kiss anyone.
Nevertheless, Atkins admitted that they managed to play the love tension between the characters perfectly.
Shields also recalled that filming on the island of Nanuya Levu was given to the actors not without injuries – they were constantly pursued by insects, crabs, rats and bedbugs.
