Brent price tops $97 for the first time since late August

The cost of futures for Brent crude on the London Stock Exchange ICE Futures in the course of trading rose above $97 per barrel. The last time such a price was recorded on August 31.
As of 17:42 Moscow time, the price of Brent oil rose by 2.6% to $97.1 per barrel.
On October 5, the OPEC+ countries decided to cut oil production as much as possible from November by 2 million barrels per day. Representatives of the organization explained this decision by balancing the market before the seasonal decline in demand. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg considerthat the cost of Brent oil will exceed $100 per barrel.
