Who is Boris Kovalchuk
Boris Kovalchuk graduated from St. Petersburg State University in 1999 with a degree in jurisprudence.
Before working at Inter RAO, Kovalchuk Jr. headed the Department of Priority National Projects of the Russian Government (2006–2009), and then briefly held the position of Deputy General Director of Rosatom (2009).
He has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Inter RAO since 2010, and since May 2019 also the post of General Director. From 2018 to the present – General Director of Inter RAO Capital.
Since 2010 – member of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. In 2014 he was awarded the Order of Friendship for his great contribution to the preparation and holding of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and the XI Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, and in 2019 – the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Also has a number of industry awards.
