The largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance announcedthat on November 15 it will stop supporting fiat deposits in Russian rubles. Users can transfer rubles to the CommEX platform without commission. Withdrawals are available until January 31, 2024.
“Binance will stop supporting fiat deposits in Russian rubles on November 15, 2023 at 0:00 UTC (3:00 Moscow time). Withdrawal of Russian rubles will be available until 3:00 Moscow time on January 31, 2024,” the company said. The decision was made due to the exchange’s departure from Russia and the sale of the CommEX business.
To transfer funds to CommEX, customers must register on the new exchange and connect it to a Binance account. Withdrawals through Binance’s fiat partners and conversion to cryptocurrency using the exchange’s built-in tools are also available.
Binance announced its withdrawal from Russia and the sale of the Russian business to CommEX at the end of September 2023.
