On May 10, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court instructed to foreclose on the shares of the hotel company Azimut Hotels, owned by billionaire Alexander Klyachin. This was told to Vedomosti by two sources familiar with the materials of this case. According to them, this decision was made as part of a lawsuit filed by Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Tkachev against the oil company Rus-Oil. The co-defendants in this case, according to information on the website of the Moscow City Court, are Klyachin and businessman Alexei Khotin. The press service of the court reported that it was decided to recover 192.1 billion rubles from the latter. The Prosecutor General’s Office was able to prove the evasion of the MET and VAT by the structures included in Rus-Oil, the report said. The shares of the oil company itself are in favor of the state.
Klyachin is not mentioned in the court report. But, according to Vedomosti sources, the specified amount was recovered from both businessmen, since in this case the court could recognize not only Khotin, but also Klyachin as the beneficiary of Rus-oil, with all the ensuing consequences.
