The group “Bi-2” was detained by the Thai police due to an unapproved concert in Phuket
Members of the Russian rock band Bi-2 were detained in Thailand, TASS reports citing the Thai tourist police.
According to the report, the artists were detained after a concert on the resort island of Phuket. The reason given was holding a performance without a work permit in the country.
Previously, the musicians also performed in Pattaya.
At the same time, the group’s press service stated RBC, which currently knows nothing about the arrest.
Earlier it became known about the cancellation of performances in Pattaya and Phuket by comedian Maxim Galkin (included in the Russian Federation in the register of foreign agents). TASS quoted an unnamed source as saying that Thai authorities “react very harshly” when “artists make political statements.”
