The government has invited Russian companies to gradually resume limited financial disclosures. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov during a meeting with members of the government.
“It is proposed to partially, very carefully resume the disclosure of information by issuers of securities, limited due to sanctions pressure,” he said (cit. by Prime).
Belousov added that it is necessary to formulate a clear list of information, the publication of which will not harm companies, “but at the same time will allow investors to make decisions about investing in the assets of these companies.”
On March 12, 2022, the government allowed public companies not to publish financial statements or disclose them partially in order to avoid being included in the sanctions lists. This rule was valid until the end of the year, but later it was extended for another six months – until July 1, 2023.
