Belarus increased the transit of fertilizers through Russia last year by 76 times

The transit of Belarusian fertilizers through Russia in 2022 increased by 76 times compared to 2021 to 3.54 million tons. This follows from the statistics of the Institute for Natural Monopoly Problems (IPEM), which Vedomosti got acquainted with.
In the first quarter of 2023, transit continued to grow: it increased by 18.2 times compared to the same period last year to 2.13 million tons. Of these, according to IPEM, 823,000 tons were delivered to the ports of St. Petersburg, 361 200 tons – to the port of Novorossiysk and 346,100 tons – to the border crossing with Kazakhstan (Kanisai station).
