In the second season, the jury of the project is again ready to evaluate the skills of gifted people from various Russian regions and choose the winner. Applicants will go through eight qualifying rounds, after which the final of the show will take place.
Eighty participants will compete for victory, including vocalists, musicians and dancers of all ages involved in folk art. In each edition, the jury members will choose their candidate to win. If the choice of experts is unanimous, then the participant of the show becomes the winner of the issue. If opinions are divided and there are several contenders, the favorite is determined by the audience in the hall.
In the new season, the team of star judges of the project included People’s Artist of Russia, Artistic Director of the Russian Song Theater Nadezhda Babkina, Honored Artist of Russia Yegor Druzhinin, TV presenter Federico Arnaldi and singer Yaroslav Sumishevsky. The actor, director and musician Alexei Vorobyov (pictured) will again become the host of the project.
“I learned a very important experience from last season,” Alexey notes, not without irony. – With my style of conducting and my constant “connection” to dances, tricks and everything that happens on stage, it would be better for me to go out in sportswear, since tuxedos and suits, and especially trousers, do not always stand up to our amazing, unique and creative improvisations and just burst at the seams.”
Alexei Vorobyov understands folk art no worse than the expert jury, because as a fifteen-year-old teenager he worked at the Tula Regional Philharmonic and sang in the Russian folk ensemble “Uslada”. “I perfectly understand how important it is for children and teenagers, like me then, to see their peers on the big television stage, someone a little older, someone even younger, who sincerely love folk art and devote their lives to it. And to see what incredible virtuosos and professionals they are and how cool it is – to be able to do that! And the skills of their peers will become an indicator for them that you can achieve success not only by opening your mouth to someone else’s song on TikTok, ”Alexey is sure.
Alexey’s colleagues on the project before the start of filming shared their optimism and hoped for pleasant surprises. For Yegor Druzhinin, work on the jury of competitions is already a familiar activity. The well-known choreographer evaluated the performances of both amateurs and professionals in a variety of projects. But “Country of Talents”, according to Yegor, is a special show.
“The most valuable thing here is that this is primarily an educational project, although it pretends to be a competition,” Yegor is sure. – In fact, the performance of any participant is a great gift to the audience, and choosing the best among these gifts is a pure formality. The main thing is that the participants themselves seem to understand this very well, so I didn’t see any tears of disappointment or annoyance that they didn’t make it to the final in the first issue.
