To be frank, with these competitions everything has long been clear. They are not looking for either owners of excellent voices or personalities who could diversify the local pop bastion. Instead, an all-out show, which in the case of “Come on, all together!” turns into a musical comedy. The contestants, of course, do their best and sing, if not with a well-trained voice, then at least with their soul.
It is more difficult for the stars invited to listen to all this. It is necessary to joke, not to offend, and at the same time not to lose face, which is very difficult, because the aura of a popular vote sometimes frightens in earnest. For example, Sergei Lazarev got a little angry when the characters, depicting gossips on a bench at the entrance, enthusiastically shouted after the performance of a frankly indistinct girl trio. But his angry remark “we have a vocal show, and let’s first of all evaluate the vocal data of the contestants” was drowned in general laughter, where Nikolai Baskov was the soloist. Not otherwise, laughter for him is a defensive reaction from everything at once.
But Lyuba Uspenskaya does not pretend to be either a judge or a joker. She sings what is expected of her, and it is still very convincing. The other day, Lyubov Zalmanovna entered the show “Once Upon a Time in Russia” as the queen of chanson and again made a splash. Together with Azamat Musagaliev, presented as Vitka Kozyr, the singer performed the languid thieves’ hit “They are looking for you.”
It was molded from the classics of the genre: with everyone, “fate twisted us like a rosary of bread” and “they are looking for you, but I will not betray you and I pray that Israel does not betray us.” In all likelihood, a parody of everything that can be ridiculed in chanson was planned. However, in this case there was no laughter, instead of it there was sheer delight even without a fig in your pocket. Apparently, vaccinations from chanson have not yet been invented here.
Chief in character
In the ability to scream and beat the dishes, Konstantin Ivlev seems to have reached perfection. This would have been enough for him, but the famous chef is increasingly given acting tasks, apparently believing that such a talent can cope with anything. What a touching delusion!
The prelude to The Infernal Chef looked like a wild parody of the Mad Max aesthetic. The ridiculous outfits and war paint of the participants in the action abandoned on some island looked so strange that the only question in such a situation was: “Why did you do this?” However, there was no clear answer, but by the second episode, the chef and Co. had moved into interiors that were already directly related to gastronomy.
From the outside, it all looks like the big licensed project “Hell’s Kitchen” was closed due to the revocation of the international license, for example, and the producers decided to do something similar, but their own. The channel refused to comment on this version of events, which raised even more suspicions. However, the suspicions and passion with which chief Ivlev mocks his wards do not interfere with each other in the least.
Cooking is now fashionable, chefs go to celebrities, and the desire of young people to become the same is quite understandable. True, judging by the culinary shows, people with approximately the same set of qualities go into this profession. All of them are capricious, like children, suffer from megalomania in an absolutely empty place, swear rather dirty and, as a rule, are covered with tattoos. An excellent set for television, where calm, well-mannered girl-boys are not needed at all, but the thoughts are still disturbing.
Suddenly they really will become successful cooks (some, by the way, already are). There will be a chance that you will receive food from them in some institution. Ivlev himself, despite his destructive power, still looks like a person with bright intentions. But the purity of the hands and thoughts of his flock is sometimes in question. Enjoy your meal!
