At the age of 71, the singer of the author’s song Valery Mishchuk died. This was announced by his wife Elena Karezina on Facebook (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The cause of the musician’s death was cancer.
Mrs. Karezina said that the bard died yesterday, August 14, in a Moscow hospital. “Yes, we tried very hard. No, nothing could be done. A very aggressive carcinoma,” she explained.

Valery Mishchuk performed in the Domino ensemble, which he organized in the 1970s. His brother Vadim sang with him. The two of them also participated in the Songs of Our Age project, in which bards recorded songs together. The last album under the project was released in 2020.
