Since April 18, 2023, Intesa Bank has suspended the opening of foreign currency accounts for individuals. The press service of the credit institution explained to TASS that the decision was due to currency restrictions and market trends.
April 14 “Intesa” announced on changes in tariffs for servicing accounts of individuals in foreign currency. The commission for balances over $50,000 will be 0.3% per month. The bank also raised the minimum commission for transfers in dollars to 3%. The adjustments will come into effect on May 1.
Bank Intesa is a Russian subsidiary of the Italian group Intesa Sanpaolo. The size of the market capitalization of Intesa Sanpaolo at the end of March is €45 billion. According to this indicator, the Italian group ranks third among the largest banks in the Eurozone.
