Born on February 13, 1971 in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk Region. In 1994 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. In 1992, he was a co-founder of CJSC Production Association Sodruzhestvo (since 2000 – New Commonwealth) together with Dmitry Udras and Yuri Ryazanov. Subsequently, it included production assets in the Rostov region – the manufacturer of agricultural machinery “Rostselmash”, equipment for fodder production and animal husbandry “Klever”, as well as paint and varnish products and zinc oxide “Empils”. Since 2002, Konstantin Babkin has been the chairman of the board of directors of Rostselmash. Since 2004, President of the Soyuzagromash Association (since 2017 – the Association of Manufacturers of Specialized Machinery and Equipment Rosspetsmash), since 2005 – President of New Commonwealth LLC.
Chairman of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council for Industrial Development and Competitiveness of the Russian Economy. Member of the Bureau of the Central Council of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia. He was awarded the title of “Honorary Engineer”. He was awarded the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II degree.
Married, father of five children. Sports hobbies – skiing, mountain biking. Hobbies – gardening art.
