The former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, which has been owned by AvtoVAZ since February, changed its name to Lada St. Petersburg on June 29, follows from the extract (.pdf) Unified State Register of Legal Entities (EGRLE). It drew attention “RIA News”.
Renaming the former Nissan plant on April 26 approved Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. AvtoVAZ launched mass production of its vehicles at this plant in mid-June. In particular, June 17 was launched production of Lada X-Cross 5 cars, which will go on sale in the third quarter.
Subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia FSUE NAMI I bought 100% of the Russian assets of the Nissan automaker, which left the Russian market after the start of the military operation. In early February, 99% of Nissan’s Russian assets were bought by AvtoVAZ for a symbolic sum of €1. 1% of the assets remained with FSUE NAMI. Nissan retains an option to buy back the assets for six years.
