Avito launched cross-delivery of one order by different services

Service “Avito” launched cross-delivery for private users, thanks to which the seller will be able to send an order through one logistics service, and the client will receive it at the point of issue with another, the company’s press service said.

“The team has developed a new order status tracking model that takes into account the increased complexity of the route and the increased number of events, changed user interfaces and created a new version of the calculation of terms and rates,” said the director of logistics “Avito» Sergey Pustylnik.

The delivery services that the service cooperates with have also completed a similar amount of tasks on their side and trained their employees, he added. Russian Post and EXMAIL were the first participants in the launch. In the future, the company expects to connect BoxberryDPD and PickPoint.

The availability of the cross-delivery option will be determined automatically for each specific transaction depending on the location of the seller and the buyer. So far, the function is available only for transactions between private users in categories available for sending to ATMs. The cost of goods in this case must be less than 20,000 rubles. Professional sellers will be able to use this feature as early as 2023. For now, cross-delivery will work in Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Omsk, Perm, Ufa, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don and Samara .
