The cost of automobile spare parts on ad aggregators and in catalogs for insurance repairs of passenger cars increased by 7–17%. This is reported “Vedomosti” with reference to representatives of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RUA) and the Drom auto portal.
RSA updates the spare parts cost directories four times a year in accordance with the Unified Methodology for estimating the cost of repairs under OSAGO. Compared to prices as of December 19, 2022, the average cost of spare parts increased by 7.4%, the organization said.
According to Droma, spare parts have increased in price by an average of 17%. Portal analysts attribute this to the weakening of the ruble and logistics costs. The prices for spare parts for cars of brands that have left Russia have risen the most. In addition, prices for components for routine maintenance of vehicles have increased: filters have risen in price by 2–3%, windshield wiper blades by 7%, oils by 14%, belts, brake pads and discs by 15%.
The Droma representative believes that the cost of vehicle maintenance (MOT) will increase by approximately 10–15%. The Regional Association of Service Stations clarified that the average cost per standard hour of maintenance work on passenger cars remained almost unchanged over the year and ranged from 700 to 2,000 rubles.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, sales of passenger cars fell in November compared to October due to a decrease in sales from AvtoVAZ. However, in December, demand is expected to be a record for the year: last week, sales have almost reached the level of summer peaks.
