The farewell ceremony for People’s Artist of the RSFSR, theater and film actress Irina Miroshnichenko began at the Moscow Art Theater (MKhT) named after Chekhov. On the main stage of the theater there is a coffin, on the back is a portrait of the actress. Dozens of people attended the ceremony, TASS reports.
After the event, a funeral service will take place in the church of Sophia the Wisdom of God, and then Mrs. Miroshnichenko will be buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
Irina Miroshnichenko died August 3 at the age of 81. According to Izvestia, the actress died in intensive care without regaining consciousness. She was admitted to the hospital on July 30 and was diagnosed with complications from the flu, cysts in both kidneys, and thickening of the stomach wall. The media wrote that she was in a medically induced coma on a ventilator and survived cardiac arrest.
