At least 50% of diesel production goes to the domestic market – Kommersant

The head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov said that Russia has increased the supply of diesel fuel for export so that at least 15% of the produced fuel enters the domestic market.

The minister was asked to what extent diesel fuel exports have resumed relative to total production in Russia. “In the optimal volume, which has already been announced, based on the goal of supplying at least 50% of production to the domestic market,” answered Mr. Shulginov.

On September 21, the government is provisional banned export of commercial gasoline and diesel fuel to stabilize prices on the domestic market. Two weeks later, the restriction on the export of diesel fuel through pipelines to seaports was lifted for those companies that supply at least 50% of the product to the domestic market.

Already today, October 9, in the ports of Novorossiysk and Primorsk started shipment of diesel fuel for export. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the measures taken helped “saturate the domestic market.” According to him, fuel prices decreased already in 81 regions.
