ASNA pharmacy chain acquired the manufacturer of the drug “Rankof” – Kommersant

The ASNA pharmacy group, founded by Alexander Shishkin, acquired a 50% stake in Rankof LLC, the manufacturer of the cold medicine of the same name, Kommersant was found in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The founders of Rankof are people from Pharmstandard Pavel Smachkov and Viktor Nazarov. They declined to comment.
ASNA confirmed the purchase of a stake in the company. They added that for three years they had been promoting the Rankof line in partner pharmacy chains and brought the brand to the market. During this time, sales of drugs were increased several times, and this, under the terms of the option, meant obtaining a share in the manufacturing company. The deal is part of the group’s long-term development strategy and the implementation of a strategic partnership with pharmaceutical manufacturers, ASNA added.
RNC Pharma Development Director Nikolai Bespalov estimated the approximate amount of the transaction at 150-180 million rubles. Most likely, a significant part of this amount is the offset of the cost of services for promoting the drug on the market, provided by the pharmacy group to the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
