Artistic Director of the Russian Theater in Vilnius Philip Los spoke out in social networks about Russophobia in Estonia and now he can be deprived of a residence permit. This demand was put forward by the MEP from the Reform Party Urmas Paet.
Philip Los said in his account what annoys him the most in the republic.
“When, under peppy toasts about the support of Ukrainian weapons and the victory of Good over Evil, rotten, shabby Russophobia suddenly crawled out of all the cracks, and no one pinches his nose and says loudly: “Fu!”, ”he wrote. The cultural figure also compared the situation of Russian-speaking Russians in Estonia with the fate of the Jews during the Holocaust.
In response, Urmas Paet stated that Vilnius should terminate the contract with him and cancel his residence permit.
“It is unacceptable that the leader hired by the Estonian State Theater be a person who hates our country. Contract and residence permit [Лося] must be canceled today,” he said. The contract of the artistic director of the Russian Theater expires on September 5. After his departure, the director of the theater Svetlana Yanchek will act as Los.
