Apple informedFoxconn’s Zhengzhou plant in China is “operating at a significantly reduced capacity” due to coronavirus restrictions. This will delay shipments of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the company said.

Formerly Reuters reportedthat production at the Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou in November could be reduced by 30%. This plant is the world’s largest iPhone manufacturer.

Chinese authorities in mid-September announced the introduction of strict coronavirus restrictions in one of the most densely populated areas of the city of Zhengzhou, where, among other things, many Apple suppliers are located. The Foxconn plant was initially not affected by another lockdown in China, but a few days later, the company’s management independently introduced sanitary restrictions at the enterprise. This caused dissatisfaction among workers, some of them left the plant, Reuters reported.
