Apple profit in the first quarter fell by 13%

Apple’s net profit in the first quarter of the 2022-2023 fiscal year decreased by 13.4%, to $ 29.998 billion, follows from reporting. The company’s revenue decreased by 5.5% to $117.2 billion. This turned out to be worse than the forecast, which was at $121.88 billion.
Apple’s diluted earnings per share for the reporting period were $1.88, up from $2.1 a year earlier. It was also below forecasts ($1.94 per share). iPhone sales fell 8.1% to $65.775 billion. Mac revenue fell 29% to $7.735 billion. iPad sales grew 29% to $9.396 billion.
In 2023, Apple has already introduced two completely new products – a computer Mac Mini and laptops Macbook Pro with new proprietary M2 processors. Reportedthat in 2024 Apple will release a new generation of iPad Pro tablets with a significantly redesigned design. According to Reuters, the corporation intends to increase the share of its production in India up to 25%.
