Another film blunder was found in the cult Soviet comedy “Pokrovskiye Vorota”

In the film “Pokrovsky Gate”, which was filmed in 1982, another fragment was discovered related to an error in the characters’ wardrobe.
Let us remember that the basis for the script of this cult lyrical comedy was the play of the same name by Leonid Zorin. The film stars such famous actors as Leonid Bronevoy, Oleg Menshikov, Anatoly Ravikovich, Elena Koreneva, Tatyana Dogileva, Natalya Krachkovskaya, Evgeny Morgunov. The film was literally dismantled into quotes.
As RBC notes, citing relevant footage, this time questions arose regarding the wardrobe of graduate student Kostik, played by Oleg Menshikov. The “incident” occurs 18 minutes into the film, when a graduate student shows up on a date wearing a jacket with white knitted elements. However, in the next frame Kostya appears in a completely different outfit. It is completely unclear how he managed to change clothes, but he looks completely different – in a different jacket and with a tied tie.
Movie bloopers are not uncommon in the film industry. When making films, there are many details, scenes and costumes that can sometimes be missed or not noticed during the editing process. Cinematography is a complex and time-consuming process, and even with great attention to detail, small inconsistencies can occur. However, it is precisely such shortcomings that make films interesting in their own way; they can be perceived both as part of art and as a source of humor.
