Weekly inflation in Russia for the period from 20 to 26 June accelerated to 0.16% after 0.02% a week earlier, according to data Rosstat. Annual inflation in Russia has grown from 2.96% to 3.21%, follows from the report of the Ministry of Economy “About the current price situation”.
Prices for fruits and vegetables increased by 0.3%. The price of carrots rose by 4.2%, potatoes – by 4.1%, table beets and apples – by 1.5%. Prices for onions decreased by 3.9%, tomatoes – by 2.4%, white cabbage – by 1.0%, bananas – by 0.9%, cucumbers – by 0.2%.
The prices for chicken meat also increased by 1.4%, granulated sugar – by 1.0%, canned meat for children – by 0.6%, powdered milk formula for children – by 0.5%, canned vegetables for children – by 0.4%, sausages, sausages, frozen fish, canned fruits and berries for children – by 0.3%, beef, lamb, boiled sausages, butter, rice and cookies – by 0.2%.
Prices for motor gasoline increased by 0.4%, diesel fuel – by 0.1%. The cost of a flight in the economy class cabin of an aircraft increased by 1.4%. The average cost of living in 4-5 star hotels – by 0.7%, two-star hotels – by 0.6%, accommodation in one-star hotels and motels, vouchers in sanatoriums – by 0.5%, accommodation in three-star hotels – by 0, 4%.
The Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia at its meeting on June 9 kept the key rate at 7.5%. At the same time, the Central Bank allowed the rate increase due to pro-inflationary risks.
