Administration of Krasnodar reported about the decision to cancel the concert of the singer Ani Lorak, which was supposed to take place at the end of April. Earlier, the mayor of the city Yevgeny Naumov said in a social network that the event will be canceled “inevitably”.
“Residents were against this because of the singer’s statements,” the city administration said in a statement. “The head of the city supported the townspeople.”
Also in the statement of the Krasnodar administration, the rationale for the decision was given: the singer “expressed her attitude to the special military operation” and “made it clear that she helps the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine outside the field of view of telephoto lenses.”
Lorak herself after the recent statements of the mayor of Krasnodar stated that she had never no military assistance, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and generally opposes violence in any form. She also noted that she had not spoken about the special operation in Ukraine before, because she was not a politician.
