American media refuses to publish comics about Dilbert because of the statements of their author

Leading American media, in particular, The Washington Post, The USA Today Network, The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times refused to publish comics about the cartoon character Dilbert. The reason was the statements of the creator of the comic book character artist Scott Adams that blacks are a hate group.

“USA Today … will cease publishing Dilbert due to recent discriminatory comments by its creator,” the site says. The USA Today.

The media quotes Mr. Adams as saying that “if almost half of all blacks have problems with whites … this is a hate group – and I don’t want to have anything to do with them.” The artist shared this consideration during an interview on YouTube channel Hotep Jesus.

According to Scott Adams, his words were taken out of context. During an interview, he commented on a study whose results showed that about half of black Americans disagree with the statement “it’s okay to be white.”

In defense of the artist spoke entrepreneur Elon Musk, who called the American media racist.

The first Dilbert comic was published in 1989. The comic book series focuses on the office life of American white-collar workers. In 1999, an animated series based on the comics by Scott Adams was released.
