Belarus and Russia have decided to move in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union on the issue of road cabotage, said Ambassador of Belarus to Moscow Dmitry Krutoy. According to him, “the story is actually agreed.” Minsk considers the conditions acceptable.
“And, perhaps, within the framework of our deuce, we will no longer break spears here and will continue to work within the framework of the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Mr. Krutoy told the TV channel “Belarus 1”.
As the diplomat explained, after agreeing on a decision, a Belarusian truck, for example, can carry out transportation to the Far East and on the way back within seven days – cabotage transportation of goods within Russia between three cities.
The Ambassador considers the topic of cabotage transportation one of the most difficult. Experts compared positions within six months. “The main problem is that we still have differences in tax systems, systems for using financial instruments, primarily bank loans and leasing programs for the purchase of equipment. Not to say that this is some kind of global inequality of conditions, but there are certain differences,” Mr. Krutoy explained.
The Ambassador recalled that now there is an agreement on cabotage transportation by water transport. He is waiting for the signing of documents on investment cabotage.
On the trade turnover between the two countries – in the material “Kommersant” “Russia and Belarus have come to a balance”.
