Amazon has begun sending warning emails to employees who are working from home too often. Writes about it Financial Times with reference to such letters in its possession. The company notifies employees that they “do not live up to expectations, (assuming.— ”b”) work together with colleagues in the office at least three days a week. The FT writes that Amazon analyzed visits to offices in the past eight weeks. And then they sent out those emails to employees who, in at least five of those eight weeks, failed to meet the requirement to go to the office at least three times a week. “We expect that you will now start going to the office three days a week or more,” the letters say.
Other tech companies are also demanding that employees return to offices after the pandemic. Apple in 2021 happened conflict on this occasion with employees who did not want to return to the office. As reported in March of this year, Apple also threatened to take action against employees who do not visit the office at least three times a week. Elon Musk after buying Twitter demanded from service employees to work from the office. Google also requires office visits at least three times a week. The corporation warned employees that attendance at the workplace could affect their performance reports.
