Altai authorities plan to launch air taxi between Siberian resorts

The authorities of Altai intend to launch an air taxi connecting Sheregesh, Gorno-Altaisk and Belokurikha, after an airport is built in the first one, the head of the republic, Oleg Khorokhordin, said on the sidelines of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF), transmits TASS.
“By agreement with the Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergey Evgenievich Tsivilev, as soon as they launch <…> airport in Sheregesh, we will immediately launch an air taxi connecting Sheregesh, Gorno-Altaisk and Belokurikha. <…> Skiers, when traveling from the regions of the central part of Russia, [хотели бы получить] the opportunity to ride for several days in the Altai Mountains, in half an hour – in Sheregesh, in another half an hour – in Belokurikha, ”said Khorokhordin.
Before that, as the agency notes, the governor of Kuzbass, Sergei Tsivilev, reported that the site for the future airport had been chosen – 7 km from the Sheregesh ski resort. The project investor is Novaport. Moreover, the company is ready to finance not only the construction of the terminal, but also the design of the runway.
Sheregesh is one of the most popular ski resorts in Siberia. During the previous ski season, it was visited by over 2 million people, this season the number of tourists has already exceeded 1 million.
KEF-2023 runs from 1 to 3 March. This is already the 19th forum. Traditionally, the topics of the KEF will be devoted to the development of Siberia, taking into account the current economic and geopolitical situation.
