The net profit of Alfa Bank in the first half of 2023 amounted to 52.2 billion rubles, should from the company’s financial statements under RAS.

“The bank has not only overcome the crisis and successfully adapted to new market conditions, but has been demonstrating steady growth since the second half of 2022,” the press service of the credit institution noted.

The bank points to an increase in the number of customers by 9%, to 27.9 million people. It is specified that in 2023 the credit institution received 2.3 million new customers. The volume of the customer base of small and medium-sized businesses grew by 8%, to 1.4 million customers.

From January to June, the bank’s net interest income grew by 84% in annual terms, amounting to 145.6 billion rubles. Net fee and commission income increased by 13% yoy to RUB 81.6 billion. Operating expenses amounted to RUB 104.1 billion.

Lending to small and medium-sized businesses is developing at the fastest pace, having increased in the first half of the year by 35% and 22%, respectively. The volume of corporate loans increased by 21%, and retail loans – by 13%. The mortgage portfolio showed an increase of +14%. The deposit portfolio also increased by more than 7% due to the growth in the volume of funds of individuals by 15%, the bank explained.

In addition, Alfa Bank notes an increase in the bank’s assets by 7%, to 6.2 trillion rubles, including due to an increase in net loan debt by 17%.

In the first quarter of 2023 Alfa Bank earned RUB 26.9 billion Profit was shown by all business areas of the bank, including retail, small, medium business, as well as large corporate business, according to a press release from the bank.
