Information about the data leak of millions of Alfa Bank clients is false, they said Forbes in the press service of the credit institution. According to bank representatives, neither Alfa Bank itself nor its contractors had any leaks.
“This is fake, the data of the bank’s clients is safe. The information is compiled from various sources where people leave data about themselves,” the press service of Alfa Bank reported.
Earlier today, January 8, Ukrainian hackers from the Kiborg group published information from a database that they claim contains information from more than 24 million individuals and 13 million legal entities. All of them, according to Kiborg’s statement, are clients of Alfa Bank. According to the hackers, we are talking about a database that they, together with another Ukrainian group NLB, managed to obtain back in October 2023.
