The construction project of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) has been completed by 90% to date, said Alexei Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom, at a meeting dedicated to the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers. Transcript of the event published Telegram channel of the company.
“The construction of factories continues. As for the Amur Gas Processing Complex, you know that the status of readiness today is almost 90%,” he said.
Miller thanked his colleagues, noting the “very difficult conditions” in which construction work is being carried out.
The Amur GPP is one of Gazprom’s largest infrastructure projects in the Far East, as well as one of the largest natural gas processing enterprises in the world. Its construction began in 2015. The plant will process natural gas supplied through the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. The enterprise is scheduled to reach its design capacity at the beginning of 2025, it will amount to 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. It will also be able to produce up to 60 million cubic meters of helium annually.
Start of work of the first stage of the gas processing plant gave President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in June 2021. In September of the same year, the second production line of the plant and the first of three helium plants began operation.
