Alexander Tkachev’s company will pay 24 billion rubles for the Arkhyz resort

The Mountain Peaks company, associated with relatives of the ex-governor of the Krasnodar Territory and head of the Ministry of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev, offered for the Arkhyz ski resort in Karachay-Cherkessia in the amount of 24.2 billion rubles. This was reported RBC with reference to the protocol of summing up the final stage of the rebidding for the right to purchase shares of Arkhyz Management Company.

The only competitor of the “Mountain peaks” was the company “Partners Group”, which was ready to offer 19 billion rubles. At first, both companies offered the lowest possible price at the auction for Arkhyz – 17.018 billion rubles. Because of this, re-bidding was carried out. At the first stage, the companies increased their offers by the minimum possible amount – 200 million rubles. So “Mountain Peaks” became the winner of the auction.

According to the terms of the competition, Mountain Peaks must fulfill investment obligations by 2030: build cable cars and 30 km of ski slopes. A former official familiar with the details of the project, in a conversation with RBC, estimated the amount of necessary investment for the development of the resort at 80 billion rubles.

“Kavkaz.RF” called applicants for the resort, in addition to the companies of Alexander Tkachev, AFK “Sistema” and “Sinara”. However, this was still in the fall of 2022, before the announcement of the competition.

The Arkhyz resort began to be built in 2010. “Kavkaz.RF” estimated the state’s investments in the resort at 23 billion rubles. In 2022, it was visited by more than 740 thousand people – by 8% than in 2021.
