According to the results of 10 months of 2023, the production of alcoholic products in Russia decreased by 4.3% – to 151.9 million decaliters compared to the same period last year. According to the department, during the specified period, the production of vodka fell by 5.7% to 63.2 million decaliters, still wines – by 8.2% to 24.8 million decaliters, sparkling wines – by 8.1% to 10.8 million decaliters dal, liqueur wines – by 19.7% to 0.68 million dal, cognac – by 4.9% to 6.8 million dal.
Rosalkogoltabakcontrol noted that the production volumes of alcoholic beverages last year were abnormally high. Now the market is stabilizing and returning to 2021 levels.
In early October, Vedomosti, with reference to interviewed experts wrotethat in the first three quarters of 2022, Russian vodka and wine producers increased their production in the hope of taking the share of foreign brands, many of which stopped importing goods to Russia.
