Aeroflot Airlines (MOEX: AFLT) stated that it would change or refund the cost of air tickets free of charge if the flight was canceled due to the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk near Moscow. We are talking about flights planned from 20:00 Moscow time on March 22 to March 25.
“When passengers request a refusal to travel due to a tragic event at Crocus City Hall, departing from 20:00 Moscow time on March 22 to March 25 inclusive, forced re-issuance of air tickets for the next 3 days from the original departure date is allowed, with retention of route or a forced refund of the full cost of transportation,” the airline said in a statement (available to Kommersant).
On the evening of March 22, a group of armed people attacked Crocus City Hall. According to preliminary data, as a result of the shooting, died 40 people, more than 100 injured. A fire started in the concert hall building and explosions occurred. Excited a criminal case under the article on a terrorist attack (Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Special units of the Russian National Guard are working on the spot.
