Aeroflot to launch flights to Havana and Denpasar

Flights to Cuba are operated by Rossiya Airlines. Aleksandrovsky recalled that the decision to launch flights was made back in May 2023, the first flight was made on July 1. “By the way, since September we have increased the frequency of flights to Varadero from two to three flights a week. And on December 27, there will be the first flight to Havana – Rossiya will also fly there twice a week, ”said the CEO of the company.
According to him, the Cuban direction has a positive profitability, but the company is working to improve results. He noted that there is a commercial limitation, according to which the company can fly to Cuba with a load of 85%, and back with a 100% load.
In addition, Aleksandrovsky announced flights to Bali. Earlier, he spoke about plans to launch flights to Denpasar at SPIEF. Flights will also be operated by Rossiya Airlines. “Its aircraft have more capacious fuel tanks and there are no restrictions on payload. So, I hope that soon we will provide an opportunity for our citizens to fly to rest in Bali. We plan to open sales on September 1, and fly in October,” Alexandrovsky specified.
In winter, Aeroflot plans to add new destinations. Thailand is a priority. “There will be flights to Phuket, to Bangkok from Yekaterinburg and Khabarovsk twice a week,” he specified.
The airline also plans to launch flights to Hong Kong and is considering opening flights to parts of China such as Hainan. Aleksandrovsky stressed that the company is studying options for flights to be carried out both from Moscow and from regional airports.
