Aeroflot Airlines is releasing aircraft that were in storage in 2022 due to a decrease in international traffic. A representative of the carrier told Vedomosti about this. In total, it is planned to put into operation in the spring and early summer of 2023 12 aircraft (AC), two of them – Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 – are already flying, the source explains.
In the near future, it is planned to launch another Boeing 737, as well as Airbus A321 and A350, a company representative says. According to him, before commissioning, Aeroflot-Tekhnika specialists carry out a complete preparation of aircraft, all the necessary spare parts and technical means are available for this. “Storage was a temporary solution. The measure made it possible to avoid unjustified losses and focus on a complete rethinking of the network of routes abroad and an effective increase in the presence in the domestic transportation market, including, to a large extent, on regional routes with tourism potential,” the source added.
