Aeroflot reached an agreement with lessors for seven more foreign aircraft

Aeroflot Group (MOEX: AFLT) from January 16 to February 15 completed the settlement process with two groups of lessors for seven more aircraft. The agreements were concluded at the end of 2023, and the technical stages of the transactions were completed at the beginning of 2024.

A statement from the Aeroflot press service (available to Kommersant) states that ownership of the aircraft transferred to the insurance company NSK, which paid the settlement amount. According to the agreements, lessors have ceased claims against Russian parties in relation to aircraft both under insurance policies and under leasing agreements with Aeroflot PJSC.

In December, Aeroflot Group completed settlement for another 28 aircraft. During the fall, the company transferred ownership of a total of 55 leased aircraft. The rights to the aircraft were transferred to NSC. Also, by the end of 2023, S7 airline became the owner of 45 medium-haul Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Ural Airlines purchased 19 aircraft from the Irish group AerCap.
