The company wants to get rid of the property so as not to bear the extra costs of maintaining it.

Aeroflot has been selling foreign real estate for several years. In 2014, the company began to get rid of non-core assets: Aeroflot sold an office in Panama and a residential building in Montreal, as well as a hotel for relay crews in the city of Tomisato in Japan. In the same year, the company got rid of the representative office building in Kyiv for 8.3 million rubles. In December 2021, properties were sold in Nicosia, Casablanca and Budapest.
